Obstacles to the Younger’s Dream ….
The  Raisin  in  the  Sun  symbolizes  the  dreams of people from poverty  that  are  overcoming  their  struggles.   Walter wanted to have money and wanted his own liquor store.  Walter’s wife Ruth wanted a new house.  His sister Bennie wanted to become a doctor.   His mom wanted a house too.  That is all of the Younger’s family dreams.  There are obstacles that are getting in the way of their dreams.
Racism is one of the obstacles in the story and also a theme. They didn't want the Younger family to move into their all white neighborhood because they were African American. In history there have been Africans Americans tired to move into a white neighborhoods were their homes bombed.  Mr.Lindner from the neighborhood community told them they would pay them twice as much money to buy it back from them so they won’t move into the house. They chose to refuse the money and take the house. The lesson in the story was to never sell out on your dreams.  Mr.Lindner represented a family test.
Getting the house symbolizes Ruth and Momma dreams coming true. Their dreams didn't just come to them. Momma went out and reached for her dreams. The home represented mamas achievement for Ruth the house symbolized freedom.  The lesson is to go after your dreams don’t let someone hand it to you.
The plant symbolizes the family and their struggle to survive. In the beginning the plant was half way dead and got little sun light.  The family is always having problems like arguing and not understanding each other. At the end of story the plant was growing and looking beautiful. The family inspite of them struggles became was one big happy family like momma always wanted.

There are obstacles that are getting in the way of the Younger family. Accomplishments their dreams One of the obstacles that they were dealing with was racism. The new house shows they were moving forward with their troubles. The plant shows they are prospering with their survival.

Theme 5 little monkeys

The theme is to listen to your parents. I know this because 5 little monkeys did not listen to their mom when she wanted them to go to bed. They kept jumping on the bed. They kept on and one by one each of them hit their head on the floor.
